Pastor Dave's Bio

Pastor Dave comes to Jerseyville having 25 years of ministry experience. Both Dave and Phyllis obtained their B.A. degree in Bible/Theology from the Appalachian Bible College near Beckley, WV. Dave also has a Masters in Biblical Languages (Greek and Hebrew) from Calvary Seminary in Kansas City, MO.  He was ordained to the gospel ministry in September 1984.  Prior to coming to Jerseyville Dave and his wife Phyllis ministered in Europe for nearly 17 years. He served as pastor to American service men, women, and their families in Augsburg, Germany and Lakenheath, England.  In Augsburg Dave was the pastor-teacher of an international group of Americans, Germans, and other people groups. After that both Dave and Phyllis taught at Cornerstone Bible Institute in South Dakota for four years. He is a gifted Bible teacher. His desire is to see lives change for the glory of Jesus Christ as a result of ministry of the Word of God.  Dave enjoys golf, sports in general, and reading. Phyllis enjoys a ministry through their home and by helping Dave in his ministry. She enjoys leading the women in the study of God’s Word. They have three children who are pursuing their college degrees and are serving the Lord in various ministries.
